"Let me please introduce myself," sang Mick Jagger

I live in Slovenia. It is in South Europe on the northeast Italian border.
Slovenia's north neighbor is Austria, northeast Hungary and in the south the Balkan Peninsula reaches out from the main land with beautiful coast of Croatia and its groups of islands surrounding it. It passes Bosnia and Hercegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania and through Greece over to Turkey.

This part of Europe has a strong geo-political history which resembles the current state of the country. There is a lot of corruption in the highest levels of governmental decision making. There are at least 10 cases I could count from the top of my head but only few verdicts have yet been executed. I don’t want to expect or implicate about the situation, and there’s no feel if it is getting on the better or worse.

I was born eight years after Tito died therefore have no recollection of the former Yugoslavia. The childhood in a post-communist country, in the transition years as the public referred to it, was not bad and not far from ideal. I grew up in a small village of 100 in a place in the southeast Alps. Bohinj is a green valley with a glacial lake. It’s where the highest peak at 2.864 m is overlooking the birth of Sava River.

About the area went around a bunch of stories: tales of the people, poems of the poets and inventors in musicality of the language. The country itself has a rich culture of ethnology and crafting. In our tales are no kings, as has been commonly expressed, but what I refer to are the tales of wonder and unnatural of the legends and myths of the old.

I feel it is crucial to strictly separate the two cultures: the commercialization of Anglo-American culture I see every day on TV, internet and through advertising as a trend-setting culture, and the Slovene culture I received through folk-tales, rituals around holidays and folk-songs.

From this perspective it is crucial to understand the recognition of emotion connected to the set of behaviors that ultimately construct the rules of language for applying it back to the emotion with a purpose to express it in a writing style. In basic sense it’s roughly a transformation of words from thoughts to paper. It is giving a thought derived from the perception some name or description to succeed in encompassing the resemblance of their effects to the reader, here in mind that the effect of verbal communication is to transfer a sign from sender to receiver. I understand this as if the sign is to be coded with the rules of the written language.

That is a way I think it should be strongly advisable for everyone to consider enrolling in a writing style course to study the written communication through components of the text, recognizing it’s structure thus understanding how the meaning is send / received. The regular practice of this should be beneficial for better performance in everyday assignments, jobs and various formal applications.
